Privacy Policy
Summary: Interview Recorder is built to work offline. We do not collect, store, or sell your recordings or personal data. Your recordings stay on your device unless you choose to share them.
1) Data We Collect
We do not collect personal data from you through the app. We do not run analytics, tracking SDKs, or advertising networks.
2) Microphone Permission
The app requests access to your device’s microphone (NSMicrophoneUsageDescription) only to record audio when you choose to record. Microphone audio is processed locally on your device.
3) Recordings and Local Storage
Audio recordings and related metadata (such as title, duration, timestamps/markers) are stored locally on your device in the app’s sandbox. We do not upload recordings to any server.
4) Sharing and Exporting
If you use the Share/Export feature, you explicitly choose where to send the recording (e.g., AirDrop, Messages, Mail, Files, or other apps). Any data shared is handled by the destination service under its own privacy policy.
5) Third-Party Services
The app does not integrate third-party analytics or advertising services. Your recordings are not sent to us or to third parties by default.
6) Data Retention and Deletion
Because data is stored locally, you control retention. You can delete recordings in the app at any time. Deleting the app from your device removes the app’s locally stored data from that device.
7) Children’s Privacy
The app is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8) Security
We design the app to minimize data exposure by keeping recordings offline. However, the security of your device (passcode, iOS protections, backups, and any apps you share data with) also impacts overall security.
9) Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
